📝 The Invisible Weight of Anxiety - and How to Name It
Anxiety doesn’t always look like panic. Sometimes, it feels like being constantly on edge, unable to relax, or always bracing for something - even when nothing is wrong. For many people, it’s an invisible weight they carry quietly for months, even years.
You might feel restless, unable to sleep, overthinking everything. You may struggle to be present in conversations or feel like you're never really at ease in your own body. Some describe it as a tightness in the chest, a knot in the stomach, or a racing mind they can't switch off. What makes anxiety so difficult is that it often masks itself. You might call it stress, say you’re “just tired,” or blame yourself for being “too sensitive.” But when we take time to slow down and pay attention, we start to see the emotional truth underneath.
Therapy can help you name what you're carrying - and understand where it comes from. We don’t rush to fix it. We start by listening to it. Because anxiety is rarely just about the present moment - it often speaks the language of fear, pressure, and experiences we haven’t yet had space to process.
In our work together, we’ll gently explore what your anxiety might be trying to say. And in that process, we begin to loosen its grip - not by fighting it, but by understanding it.
